You...Patricia, I wish you well on this undertaking. Your recent postings about hiking along the canal bring back memories of my hikes there years ago. As a hiker who has, mostly alone, conquered the Bruce Trail and the Finger Lakes Trail, I know how you can get bored and even discouraged. My advice: Think always of reasonable and short-term goals. And take breaks, as you have, away from the trail.
